CO2 emissions from fuel combustion increased strongly between 2002 and 2015, by 14%/year on average, and have stabilised since then reaching around 2.7 Mt in 2017. Emissions are mainly from transport (76%), followed by industry (21%) and households, tertiary, agriculture (3%).
