    Prices for households started to decrease in 2015, down to US$3.1c/kWh in 2018. Prices for industry increased sharply in 2014, more than doubling, but decreased by 20% between 2016 and 2018 to US$4.3/kWh.


  • Energy Consumption

    Energy consumption per capita stands at 0.84 toe, including 1 750 kWh of electricity (2018).

    The country's overall consumption decreased in 2018 (by 5.7%). Before that, it had grown very rapidly between 2000 and 2007 (by an average of 8.3%/year), and continued to increase by 1.7%/year on average between 2007 and 2016.
