    Energy consumption is relatively low at 0.41 toe/capita, including around 725 kWh of electricity (2017).


    Total energy consumption has increased by 2.5%/year since 2000 and reached 2.8 Mtoe in 2017. Biomass meets 48% of the energy needs, followed by lignite (19%), oil (17%) and hydroelectricity (16%).
